Let’s start by knowing what is communication?
“Communication is the process
of transferring thoughts, ideas and information from one person or one place to
another by words, writing or by gestures”
There are many types of
communication such as:
·
Spoken or Verbal
Communication: face-to-face, through
Television, Radio or other media.
·
Visualisation:
using visuals to share ones ideas and views. Such as maps or presentations.
·
Non-verbal
Communication: Body language, Expressions, Way of dressing.
This looks very simple that we
can communicate with everyone and anytime we want to, However in the process of
communication there are some points which effects or completely stops the process,
these points are also known as Barriers in communication.
The process of
communication is a message sent by sender by using any channel of communication
and sent it in a coded format and when it reaches to the recipient it needs to
be decode to read it.
Communication Channels is the
term given to the route in which we connect with others. There are different
communication stations open to us today, for example up close and personal
discussions, phone calls, instant messages, email, the Internet (counting web
organising, for instance, Facebook and Twitter), radio and TV, composed
letters, handouts and reports to give some examples.
